AVCB II participated in the World Justice Forum
Activating Village Courts in Bangladesh Phase II Project (AVCB II), being implemented by Local Government Division with financial support from the European Union, Bangladesh Government and UNDP, participated in the World Justice Forum VI, held from 28 April – 02 May 2019 in the Hague, the Netherlands. This event brought together over hundreds of leaders from more than 70 countries where AVCB II set a booth to display various publications on Village Courts (VC) describing VC procedures, statistics, success stories etc. During visit to the booth, visitors showed their keen interest to learn about VC, AVCB II and overall successes of the project in facilitating access to justice at local level.
World Justice Forum is the largest event hosted by World Justice Project, a US-based international civil society organization with the stated mission of working to advance the rule of
law around the world. AVCB II participated in the Forum to promote collaboration, knowledge sharing as well as gathering the best practices implemented worldwide on development sectors to improve access to justice to replicate in achieving further success in the project.
