Inter-ministerial meeting held on Amendment of Village Court Act, 2006

An inter-ministerial meeting was held on 28 September 2021 at Bangladesh Secretariat on the amendment of the Village Court Act, 2006. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Maran Kumar Chakraborty, National Project Director, AVCB Project II and Additional Secretary of the Local Government Division. The objective of the meeting was to review the final draft of the amendments proposed of the Village Court Act, 2006. Among others, Dr. Malay Choudhury, Additional Secretary of the Local Government Division, Mohammad Bashirul Alam, Joint Secretary of the Public Security Division, Mr. A.H.M. Habibur Rahman Bhuiyan, Joint Secretary of the Law and Justice Division, Mr. Abu Kaiser Khan, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, Mr. Akbar Hossain, Deputy Secretary of the Local Government Division, and Mohammad Sirazul Haq, Project Manager (Interim) were present at the meeting.
